There are many reasons users may want to search existing patents and trademarks. They may want to search to make sure no one else has already patented their invention or trademarked a logo similar to theirs. They may want a complete copy of the drawings and specifications of something currently protected under a patent. They may also wish to search in order to find out what type of research is being done by certain companies or individual inventors. Whatever their reasons, these workshops will provide you an opportunity to learn to how to help users find the critical intellectual property they need.

The schedule is as follows:

**If you cannot attend the December 6 staff training session, please consider registering for our free public training on December 5 at: https://unr.libcal.com/event/3656509

The USPTO designated the UNR Libraries as a Patent and Trademark Resource Center (PTRC) to stimulate patent development, economic development, and technology transfer within Northern Nevada. UNR is currently the only PTRC in the state of Nevada.
